It's Guinness, but not as we know it.

Coming from Dublin, the last thing I would expect to find in a small village in Cameroon is Guinness.. but guess what? Guinness is huge here! There are in fact more variants of Guinness then I've seen during my entire 4 years in Ireland.

Everyday I see Guinness trucks driving around, and when I take a cab it is not uncommon to see a huge Guinness distribution center (distributed by "Harp distribution"). Many bars and cafe's also have little flags with the slogan "Guinness is good for you" written on them ;)

Apart from the fact that Guinness is good for you (everybody knows that!), one of the reasons Guinness might be so popular over here is because you it tastes good without having to be cooled. Since most bars don't have fridges this is a huge plus. (Try drinking a warm Heineken..)

btw; 650CFA is 1 Euro - you do the math ;)

Apart from Guinness, Guinness also seems to be selling Smirnoff and some German beer brands.. who knew?
